The Revamped FriarTV is Amazing
- Updated: May 13, 2020

Over the past decade, FriarTV has become one of the most indispensable Providence basketball resources available thanks to countless full game replays, highlight reels, and live streams.
The man behind the site has now taken PC videos to another level, as this week he debuted an archived page loaded with full games from the rich history of Friar basketball. On the new FriarTV Archive Master Sheet there are over 350 full games, including nearly 90 from before the Ed Cooley era. The archive can also be categorized by season, PC coach, rivalries, and postseason games. It is a truly remarkable resource for anyone who loves Providence basketball.
Friar fans of every generation can get lost in all of the material on this website. For instance, he recently added Eric Murdock’s 48 point explosion against Pittsburgh, Michael Smith’s Big East record 26 boards versus Syracuse, and PC vs. St. John’s from 1958.
There is something for Friar hockey fans as well, as FriarTV also includes all of Providence’s run to the 2015 NCAA Championship.
I can only imagine the level of work this entailed, but the new FriarTV is truly phenomenal. FriarTV has been one of the two or three most indispensable Friar resources of any kind over the past decade and the new archives are yet the latest reminder.
