PC vs. UConn 1994 at the Civic Center
- Updated: April 7, 2020

Here is a condensed version of Providence versus UConn from 1994. This is the game in which Kevin Ollie drove the length of the floor to win it in the closing seconds for the Huskies.
How talented were these two rosters? PC had a pair of eventual top 15 picks coming off of the bench (Eric Williams and Austin Croshere), while Connecticut had a hall of famer on theirs (Ray Allen).
Providence featured four NBA draft picks in Croshere, Williams, Dickey Simpkins, and Michael Smith, while UConn had five future NBA players: Allen, Donyell Marshall, Donny Marshall, and Travis Knight.
UConn finished the 1993-94 season 29-5 overall (16-2 in the Big East), behind Donyell Marshall, the All American and #4 overall pick that spring. Marshall was amazing that season, averaging 25.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. His full arsenal is on display in this game.
The two teams would meet again in the Big East Tournament semifinals, with Providence pulling the upset over a Connecticut team ranked second nationally.
A classic: Providence hosting UConn in 1994. The two teams had a combined nine NBA players on their rosters. PC with a pair of top 15 picks off their bench (Eric Williams, Austin Croshere) and UConn with a HoFer on theirs (freshman Ray Allen). https://t.co/mW07mpsVWo pic.twitter.com/trvJLYaSVl
