Luwane Pipkins Named to Big East Honor Roll
- Updated: March 2, 2020
For the second consecutive week, Providence guard Luwane Pipkins was named to the Big East Honor Roll.
A week ago, Pipkins earned the distinction following a 2-0 week for the Friars in which he averaged 20 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and shot 67% from the field.
This week’s honor comes after Pip went for 27 points against Villanova.
From the Big East release: “In PC’s only game of the week, (Pipkins) scored a game-high 27 points in a win at No. 12 Villanova (58-54). (He) Shot 7-of-13 from the field, 4-of-8 from 3-point range and 9-of-10 from the line.”
Pipkins currently leads the Big East in free throw percentage (.905) and is averaging over 10 points per game.
