Villanova closed on a 23-6 run to defeat Providence, 85-67, at the Pavilion on Wednesday night.

This was a one point game with seven minutes to play, but Providence made just one field goal over the final seven minutes.

Nate Watson was terrific for the Friars, scoring 18 points.

    Friars played well but getting shut out for the last 7 minutes of the game is unacceptable!!! Happened before and can’t happen again. They’re too good for that. They play so hard to to crash & burn at the end!!! They’ll be better the rest of the way!! Lot better!!! GOFRIARS!!!
