MarShon Brooks made the most of the 10 day contract he signed with the Memphis Grizzlies. The former Big East scoring champ and 2011 first-round draft pick returned to the NBA scorching after four years away.
Through three games he’s averaging 23.3 points per game and shooting 57% from the field and 65% from 3. In three games played he’s scored 25, 24, and 21 points.
His contract is guaranteed through the 2018-19 season.
The news was reported by Yahoo Sports. From the article:
After scoring 70 points over three games in his 10-day contract, guard MarShon Brooks has agreed to a two-year deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Brooks will sign for the remainder of the season, including a fully guaranteed salary for 2018-19, league sources said. Multiple playoff-contending teams inquired about Brooks over the past day because of the end of his first 10-day contract on Thursday, sources said, but he and the Grizzlies finalized a deal Thursday night. Memphis had part of its midlevel exception remaining to use toward signing Brooks.
Brooks is averaging 23.3 points and 3.7 assists in 25.2 minutes per game in three games for the Grizzlies.
