Yurview Podcast with AJ Reeves and David Duke

David Duke Closeup

AJ Reeves and David Duke were recently on “The Upside Podcast” with Adam Finkelstein of Yurview.

This is not something any Friar fan will want to miss, as Reeves and Duke dug deep into their individual recruitments with Providence and take a look toward their futures as Friars.

Reeves and Duke were both part of the Mass Rivals program, which produced current PC freshman point guard Makai Ashton-Langford. Reeves shares how Ashton-Langford’s de-commitment from UConn and pledge to Providence in April paved the way for his commitment in June.

Reeves noted that Ed Cooley’s staff had been recruiting him aggressively since his freshman season at Brimmer & May and he committed prior to the July Live Period because he simply knew this was where he wanted to be. He also believes that Providence can duplicate the same national success that the Rivals had when he, Ashton-Langford, and Duke were a part of an undefeated group in the summer of 2016.

Duke shared how his recruitment unfolded, talked about the comparisons to Kris Dunn (and meeting Dunn during his freshman season at PC), and how he feels about playing in front of family in friends in college.
