Twitter Reactions: Makai Ashton-Langford to Providence

IMG_201

Providence landed its highest rated recruit since the class of 2012, when Kris Dunn and Ricky Ledo committed to Ed Cooley before he ever coached a game in Friartown.

Now Cooley is leading a program on the rise.

Brewster Academy point guard Makai Ashton-Langford visited Providence over the weekend and committed to PC on Monday. He’s ranked 36th in the class of 2017 and will give the Friars another creator to complement Kyron Cartwright.

This is a monstrous get for Providence.

Here is the Twitter reaction to Ashton-Langford’s commitment:

I literally know nothing about MAKAI. What I do know is Ed Cooley
is a terrific person and cares a great deal about these young people . What is happening these young men are seeing what we have known all along . He appears to be a perfect fit for PC and I hope he takes full advantage of all my school has to offer . Good luck to all our recruits and congrats to our hard working staff.
