Bullock Named Big East Player of the Week

After averaging 26.2 points per game over two games last week Rodney Bullock has been named the Big East Player of the Week. Here is the complete press release from Providence College:

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was announced today (Dec. 5) that Providence junior forward Rodney Bullock (Hampton, Va.) was named BIG EAST Player of the Week.  It marks the first time in his career that he has earned the honor.

Bullock averaged 26.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, while shooting 6-13 (.462) from three-point territory as the Friars posted a 2-0 mark last week, including a win over No. 21/25  Rhode Island.  Bullock had a career-high 36 points in a 76-62 win over New Hampshire on Nov. 30.  He was 12-21 from the field and 5-8 from behind the arc.  He also had six rebounds, three assists and three steals.  On Dec. 3, Bullock recorded 17 points and five rebounds in a 63-60 victory over Rhode Island.

 Bullock leads the BIG EAST in scoring with a 21.4 points per game average.  He also leads the Friars in rebounding (6.3).

 The Friars will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 6 when they host Brown at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center at 7 p.m. on FS2.
