Henton in Portsmouth Invitational

Senior forward LaDontae Henton has been invited to play in the Portsmouth Invitational which starts this Wednesday. The Portsmouth Invitational is a post season tournament where college seniors play in front of NBA and European scouts. The event is designed primarily for players who are regarded as borderline second round or D League players and gives them the opportunity to improve their draft stock. Other Big East seniors scheduled to play in the Invitational include:

Matt Stainbrook – Xavier

Darrun Hilliard – Villanova

JayVaughn Pinkston – Villanova

D’Angelo Harrison – St. John’s

Josh Smith – Georgetown

Jabril Trawick – Georgetown

Henton will be playing on the Mike Duman Auto Sales team along with Wayne Blackshear of Louisville and Brad Waldow of Iowa. His first game will be Wednesday night at 9:00 pm against the Norfolk Sports Club (Jabril Trawick, Seth Tuttle of Northern Iowa, and Ryan Harrow of Georgia State).
