Video: Henton All 35 vs. Creighton

LaDontae Henton closed out 2014 in style with 35 points in Providence’s victory over Creighton. The video below shows all 35 of those points.

Here’s a breakdown of how they were scored:

  • Three 3-pointers
  • 8-9 at the free throw line
  • Three layups on long outlet passes from Kris Dunn
  • An offensive rebound and put back off of a teammate’s miss
  • An offensive rebound and score off of his own miss
  • Two layups that resulted from Providence blocks and dishes from Dunn in transition
  • Two difficult baskets inside — one in which he scored among four Bluejays and a baseline hook shot
  • Two hustle plays in which he recovered loose balls and either scored or got to the free throw line. The first came early in the game when he came from out of nowhere to recover an errant PC pass for a score and a foul. On the second he sprawled out on the floor and dove to grab another loose ball. He was fouled as Creighton tried to tie him up.
