Friar Basketball

Provcast with ESPN’s Jeff Goodman

goodman2014

Just over two weeks remain until the Providence College season kicks off with a matchup against the University of Albany. Not too long ago, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman attended a PC practice and in this episode of the FriarBasketball.com Provcast, Goodman discusses what to expect from Kris Dunn, LaDontae Henton and the rest of the Friars. Goodman also dives into the hot topic surrounding Power Conferences and how the Big East will survive.

Lastly, Goodman addresses the misconception that he dislikes the Providence program. Stemming from an article that he wrote on Ricky Ledo several years ago, many PC fans have felt that Goodman owned a certain level of animosity for Providence, but that is far from the case. Goodman speaks to that Ledo article at the end of the show.

Make sure he apologizes for last year’s prediction.

P.C. will finish this yr. 21-9, if all is healthy with Dunn, Bentil rises above expectations.

He may have the Goodman name, but I sure don’t think he is one. Coach Cooley had Ledo’s best interest in his mind. The young man was a role model for that young team.
