Kadeem Batts Ready for the Next Step

That Big East title may have never happened if Batts had decided to forego his fifth year, as had been rumored at the end of the 2013 season. It was a move he considered, but he ultimately decided that he had unfinished business at Providence. “I felt I was ready to play professionally, but I wasn’t satisfied from the standpoint that I wanted to win (at Providence). That was the main thing for me. I was ready mentally and physically to play professionally, but I’m a competitor and it was satisfying coming back and winning this year.”
