Friar Starting Five: Friday Edition

1. The latest edition of Friars All Access is now available for streaming on CoxSportsOnline. Guests on the show include Mike Jackson, Carson Desrosiers, and Adam Finkelstein.

2. ESPN’s Reggie Rankin states in this video that the team that could most use ESPN Top 100 recruit Jaquan Lyle is Providence College.

3. Prior to last night’s game against St. John’s two players for Seton Hall were suspended indefinitely by head coach Kevin Willard. Fifth year seniors Brian Oliver and Gene Teague were suspended by Willard for “not showing up to work with a great attitude”.

4. In case you missed it senior Bryce Cotton has been named a Naismith Trophy Finalist.

5. The Providence Journal’s Mark Driver has a very nice article about a very special team, the 1963-1964 PC Hockey Friars.  The 63-64 Hockey Friars will be honored tonight during PC’s game against Notre Dame at Schneider arena.
