Here are some links to five topics of interest for Friar fans including some preview articles for tonight’s game against Marquette.
1. LIVE FROM ST. ANTHONY’S IN NEW JERSEY: Friarbasketball.com’s Craig Belhumeur was able to take in the St. Anthony’s/Roselle Catholic game last night to check out both Tarin Smith and Isaiah Briscoe. Here is his article which contains analysis of the game and players as well as comments from Smith and Briscoe on the Friars and comments from St. Anthony’s coach Bob Hurley and Roselle Catholic coach Dave Boff.
2. Here are some good preview articles for tonight’s game against the Marquette Golden Eagles.
Wonder what Marquette fans are saying about the game? You can check here and here. Of course you can always see what PC fans are saying at Scoutfriars.com, friartownhoopproboards.com, Friarbasketball.com forums, and at Friarbasketball.com’s Facebook page.
3. Kevin McNamara has a very nice story on Josh Fortune and how it is very tough on Josh having a mother who is always overseas in the military
4. The Big East’s website posted stories on both Ed Cooley and Bryce Cotton this week. PC is beginning to get the attention that fans have been craving.
5. Here is a very good analysis of where the Big East stands at the half-way point and where things may wind up at the end of the season.
BONUS: Brendan McGair’s article on how the Friars are trying to tune out all of the national publicity they have been recently receiving.
DOUBLE BONUS: Jack Andrade, on GoLocalProv, gives a good preview on the National Prep School Invitational and what it means for both recruits and colleges.
