Friars Still in Hunt for Abu, Terrell

Both Jared Terrell and Abdul Malik Abu narrowed their list of schools to ten tonight via HoopDreamsMagazine, and while we’re still a long ways from seeing if Providence can land either, or perhaps even the long-rumored Terrell/Abu package deal, Ed Cooley and his staff live to see another day in the battle for two of New England’s best.

Friarbasketball.com has followed both prospects closely over the past year. Craig Leighton took A Closer Look at Terrell in November, sharing his first-hand impressions of the imposing shooting guard out of Weymouth, MA.

Earlier that month, Craig wrote a Closer Look feature on Abu as well.

In March, I watched Abu and Kimball Union take on another top Friar target, Kaleb Joseph of Cushing Academy, in the NEPSAC Class AA semifinals. My highlight reel of that game can be found below.
