Ed Cooley in Indianapolis for Adidas Invitational
- Updated: July 11, 2013
Ed Cooley was on hand at the Adidas Invitational in Indianapolis today as the July live period kicked off with a number of events across the country. The tournament featured the rising New England AAU program Mass Rivals and their star point guard Kaleb Joseph. The Rivals have a number of younger Providence recruits (namely Jalen Adams and Josh Sharma), but it’s significant that Cooley was in Indy today while prospects were playing across the country.
As Craig Leighton laid out earlier this week, Expressions Elite duo Jared Terrell and Abdul Malik Abu are in Georgia for Nike’s Peach Jam. Does this mean Joseph is the Friars’ top local target playing at the two big events this week? It very well could. The competition for Abu seemingly grows by the day, while Joseph put together a stronger 2012-13 campaign than Terrell.
Joseph was on campus earlier this month.
