Dunn to US Under 19 National Team
Kris Dunn has been named as one of the invitees to the US Under 19 National Team trials that will be taking place June 14-19 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs Colorado. In addition, Ed Cooley has been named as one of the Court Coaches for the trials. The Under 19 team is being coached by former Friar great Billy Donovan. Here is the list of invitees for the trials:

Ed Cooley Coach’s Radio Show Rescheduled
The Ed Cooley Radio Show originally scheduled to be aired last Sunday had to be postponed due to a major rain delay in the Red Sox game which carried over into the time slot for the coach’s show. The new air date is Sunday, May 26th at 7:00PM on WEEI 103.7 FM

Another Big Weekend on the Nike EYBL Circuit
This past Friday BABC and Expressions finally met up in the EYBL league, with BABC pulling out a five point victory over Expressions despite not having the services of Bonzie Colson.

Some of the PC recruits taking part in the Minnesota session include:
Expressions: Abdul Malik Abu, Jared Terrell, Jared Wilson-Frame, Aaron Falzon, Alec Brennan
Team Scan: Cheick Diallo, Shavar Newkirk, Terry Larrier
California Supreme: Bennie Boatright
NY Lightning: Luis Montero, Kahaii Beaufort, Khadeem Carrington

Several players were not with their teams for at least part of the weekend due to academic obligations as the prep and high school year is ending. This EYBL session will be running through Sunday.

Mary Kline Classic
The annual Mary Kline Classic takes place next Sunday at Philadelphia University starting at 5:00PM. This year’s event is loaded with Friar recruits headed by Brandon Austin. In the Senior game the underclassman game will fearture PC targets Cheick Diallo, Kaleb Joseph, Abdul Malik Abu, Jared Terrell, Alec Brennan, and Jared Nickens. This is a must see event for Friar fans in the Philly area.

New Practice Facility
Athletic Director Bob Driscoll met with the basketball coaching staff to begin planning out the details of a new basketball practice facility. Ed Cooley has said that this is one of the biggest needs that the program has to have if it wishes to continue competing on the highest levels going forward. Driscoll was on the Go Local Sports Radio Show with John Rooke and Scott Cordischi to speak about a number of PC topics including the recent Big East meetings and the new practice facility. Ricky Ledo at the NBA Combine
Ledo was invited to the NBA Combine last week and had mixed results over the two day event.
He had a great first day, but was not as consistent during the second day of the trials. Here is the video of his interview at the combine:
