More on Martez Walker (6’5 2013 SG)

Martez Walker has narrowed down his list of schools to four, including PC. He said he would like to take one more official visit to Providence, possibly this weekend or early next week. It appears that PC turned up the volume on his recruitment once Ricky Ledo declared for the NBA draft

Walker is a 6’5 SG with a decent handle, nice jump shot out to three point range, and is a good defensive player. The other schools on his final four list are Temple, Texas, and Oakland. He just recently got back from a visit to Texas.

ESPN says that “Walker is a long wiry lefty that is a good athlete. He can knock down jumpers with range to the arc by running the floor on the break, coming off screens or spacing to the open area on the side of dribble penetration. Walker plays with emotion, energy and urgency and can get on a roll from beyond the arc. He is also a good passer especially on the move in the open court.”

Scout says that “For teams who are looking for a scorer late in the process one who is still available is Martez Walker of Pershing. The 6’5 wing can really shoot and is having an excellent senior season.”
