Report: Brandon Austin Scheduled to Visit Providence
- Updated: September 4, 2012
Philadelphia wing Brandon Austin, the former Penn State verbal who is ranked #68 by ESPN in the class of 2013, is scheduled to visit Providence on September 8 according to the Georgetown blog Casual Hoya.
Austin had committed to Penn State in February only to de-commit at the end of July, and was reportedly one of the better players at the loaded Pangos All American camp this summer. He’s a 6’6 slasher who played for the solid AAU program Team Philly this summer, and will also visit Georgetown in September, as well as UCLA.
Austin is one of the more higher profile 2013 prospects Providence is involved with and his addition next year, along with transfers Tyler Harris (6’9) and Carson Desrosiers (6’11), would give the Friars the length they’ve been lacking in recent years.
And yes, he’s a great athlete.
