Highlights: Luwane Pipkins, Friars Put on a Show vs. Marquette
- Updated: February 22, 2020
In perhaps their most impressive offensive performance of the season, Providence shot nearly 51% from the field in Saturday’s 84-72 win over Marquette.
Luwane Pipkins was the star of this one, scoring 17 of his 24 points in the first half, including seven quick points early. Pipkins added four steals, four rebounds, and three assists.
Pipkins was one of six Friars to score in double figures, with David Duke (15), AJ Reeves (11), Alpha Diallo, Maliek White, and Kalif Young (all 10 apiece) joining him.
There were a lot of highlights to go around in this one. Enjoy!

Great game, great win, another tremendous crowd!! Friars are going dancing!!!
Friars won despite an awful game by Diallo! I mean you can’t make it up! Sloppy play, missing layups!!!But he clawed his way and scored 10 points. The “2 headed center” scored 14 points and 8 rebounds!! Not great but Young was outstanding defensively!!! What can I say “GOFRIARSBABY”!!!!

This game brought back memories of the Ernie, Marvin an Stacom era. They ran the fast break to perfection, an they played aggressive defense. Lets hope this continues on into the Big East tournament an NCAA as well.

Thanks for the highlight clip. I had to go see my accountant at 1:30 pm and missed the second half. What a bummer since they played so well, but the highlight clips were great. I heard a little bit on the radio driving there. Hats off to Cooley!

The best overall game that PC played this year. The sharing of the ball was fantastic. The defense as always was excellent. Best last couple of games Pipkin has played under control. Let’s keep it going guys. Can’t wait till Saturday. Almost forgot FANS WERE FANTASTIC !1111111
