PC vs. Houston Baptist Highlights
- Updated: November 11, 2017
It was a balanced attack from the Friars last night in the season opener, with seven players scoring 8 or more points in their 84-55 win over Houston Baptist at Alumni Hall.
Sophomore Maliek White led the way, coming off the bench for 13 points on 5-7 shooting.
While Maliek got the Friars offense rolling in the first half, Kyron Cartwright controlled the pace throughout. He dished out 10 assists and scored 10 points of his own, for his fourth career double-double.
Sophomore Kalif Young put up 10 points as well (5-8 FG), scoring in a variety of ways.
And finally, the three freshmen got their first real game action. Both Makai Ashton-Langford and Nate Watson played with great poise, combining for 17 points, while Dajour Dickens showed flashes in limited minutes of what he can bring to the table.
