Tyler Harris
The 6’9 Harris can score in a variety of ways. He’s always had range beyond the three point arc (as he displayed at the Providence Jamfest the summer before his senior season in high school — making eight 3 pointers and scoring 33 points in the semifinal), but he’s proven to be more than a jump shooter.
The former top 100 recruit was sneaky good last year — averaging over 11 points and 5 rebounds, while making nearly 84% of his free throws. Harris scored in double figures 23 times in his debut season at Providence. He had 22/9 versus LaSalle, 16/9/5 vs. UMass, 22/9 in his Big East debut against Seton Hall, and helped PC pull away from the Hall in the Big East Tournament semifinals when he made three 3 point shots and scored 17 points.
His decision making has been called into question at times, as he often forces the issue offensively, but there’s no doubting his skill and upside at 6’9. Harris has the potential to be one of the best inside/out scorers in the conference this season.
