I thought they were going to be lucky to finish at .500, I said it twice here – not due to Cooley but what looked like internal strife – I was wrong.
Whatever issues existed these young men solved them and have become what they were capable of and proved me wrong.
I’m glad they did.

I questioned particularly Pipkins early on, and Duke and Reeves not living up to the recruiting press. Pipkins has sure as heck answered my questions, Duke is closing fast and I’m pretty hopeful that Reeves is going to draft off his fellow multi-star recruit.
Cooley deserves major credit for capturing Pipkins, and then working the new veteran into an already seasoned team.
So much of sports is played between the ears, and that part seems to be fixed now; the Friars have learned how to win.

I felt the same way “could it be that Coach Cooley lost the team”!! Never should have questioned that man. No matter how poorly they played!! We are very passionate fans and have mood swings when they win or lose!! Die hard fans so give us a break. The Friars gave us awesome winter entertainment. Going to those games paced with crazy (in a good way) students were great to see and the over the top fans!! Thank you Coach Cooley!! GOFRIARS BABY!!!
