Twitter Reaction: PC Rallies Late vs. Hoyas
- Updated: February 7, 2018
It was a far from a thing of beauty, but Providence won, 73-69, against Georgetown on Tuesday night. This one was very much in question, but the Friars closed the game on a 9-0 run over the final two minutes.
Isaiah Jackson keyed the comeback with a late 3-pointer to bring PC to within two with 1:17 to play. Alpha Diallo converted a pair of free throws with under 30 seconds left, then Kyron Cartwright grabbed a Georgetown miss with less than five seconds to go in a tie game. Cartwright was fouled on the rebound, and made a pair of free throws to put Providence ahead for good.
Jessie Govan was a force inside and out for Georgetown. He was the Hoyas’ only double figure scorer with 27 points.
Jalen Lindsey knocked down four 3-pointers and led PC with 17 points, while Jackson was again a force off of the bench with 16 points, six rebounds, and eight free throw attempts.

Friars have drawn 11K-plus in four straight games. Just a guess, but that streak figures to keep on growing with four home games left:https://t.co/An2HjOIe8M
