Belmont Highlights
- Updated: November 24, 2017
It certainly wasn’t pretty, but the Friars were able to sneak out of the Dunk with a victory over Belmont on Wednesday night, winning 66-65 in thrilling fashion. While a win over the OVC-favorite Bruins may not carry much weight to the casual fan, don’t be surprised if this ends up being a top 50 RPI win for the Friars when March rolls around.
Senior Rodney Bullock put together his third straight solid outing, with 15 points and 8 boards, including a perfect 5-5 from the FT stripe.
The hot shooting continued for senior Jalen Lindsey, making four of his seven three point attempts to keep the Friars afloat early.
And finally, senior Kyron Cartwright took a break from the distributor role and attacked on offense, scoring 13 of his team-leading 17 points in the second half, including the game winner.
