PC vs. USC Game Review in Videos
- Updated: March 18, 2016
A look back at Providence’s victory over USC in videos…
Kris Dunn got the Friars going early with a 3 pointer to halt a quick 4-0 USC spurt to open the game.
The Friars made their first run about eight minutes in. After Jalen Lindsey knocked down a 3 pointer he finished a lob from Kyron Cartwright. On the next possession Rodney Bullock canned a 3 of his own.
With Dunn on the bench for the final eight minutes of the first half, Cartwright gave PC a lift with this slip and score.
Things looked to be slipping away from Providence 12 minutes into the second half. USC pushed their lead to six, but Dunn countered with a big time shot.
USC later pushed their advantage to seven, but Cartwright once again made an important play.
Drew Edwards proved to be fearless down the stretch. Here he steps into a short jumper to cut the lead to two.
With Dunn out with four fouls Bullock came up with a tremendous block and finished with a transition 3 on the other end to put the Friars ahead.
Dunn returned soon after and came through clutch: shooting, stealing, and assisting.
Dunn also did this.
And shortly after it was celebration time for the Friars.
