Twitter Reactions: Bentil, Friars Roll Butler
- Updated: March 10, 2016
Ben Bentil and the Friars put on a show on Thursday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.
Providence advanced to the Big East Semifinals behind Bentil’s 38 points, and contributions across the board. Kris Dunn made 6-8 shots from the field, Jalen Lindsey connected on a pair of 3 pointers and grabbed seven rebounds, and Rodney Bullock added eight points and nine rebounds, as PC defeated Butler 74-60.
The story of the game was Bentil, who tied a Providence Big East Tournament record with his 38 points. Bentil scored in every way imaginable — posting up, beyond the arc (where he was 5-9), and everywhere in between. How good was Bentil? He put up 38 and attempted just one foul shot on the game. He finished 16-24 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds.
Bentil also lit Twitter on fire.

26 NBA teams are credentialed for @BIGEASTMBB. Not a bad time for Ben Bentil to go off for 38 and counting.
