Raise your hand if you saw this coming. Jalen Lindsey lit up Madison Square Garden on Saturday, setting a new career high with 30 points as Providence trounced St. John’s 90-76.
Lindsey made 10-16 shots, including 6-9 from 3 point range, while grabbing eight rebounds and not turning the ball over once.
Ben Bentil (23 points, 10 rebounds) and Kris Dunn (13 points, 11 assists) had double doubles of their own for the Friars, who won their 22nd game of the season and third in a row.
With the win Providence secured the fourth seed in next week’s Big East Tournament and looks to be a lock for their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
Here is how Twitter reacted.

If there’s a time for Jalen Lindsey to heat up, it’s now. He is on fire at The Garden…and it comes just before the BIG EAST Tournament.
