Friars Fall to the Hall 81-72
- Updated: January 17, 2016
The Seton Hall Pirates defeated Providence College 81-72 before a crowd of 11,148 at the Dunkin Donuts Center. The Pirates’ Khadeem Carrington led all scorers with 22 points. Ben Bentil led the Friars with 21 points and nine rebounds. Kris Dunn added 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists for PC.
The story of this game was rebounding as Seton Hall had a commanding 50-36 edge off the glass. Angel Delgado led the Pirates in rebounding with 11 and Ismael Sanago added 10.
PC also continued their recent trend of poor shooting as they shot only 30 percent for the game (20 percent from the three point line).
In order for PC to turn around this recent slump they will have to regain their aggressiveness on the glass and become more efficient on the offensive end. They are at their best when Dunn is dishing off to teammates for easy baskets. The Friars will not win many games when Dunn has only two assists.
PC is now 15-3 on the season (3-2 in the Big East). Next up for the Friars is a rematch with Butler University Tuesday night at 6:30 at the Dunkin Donuts Center.
