Dunn Leads PC Over DePaul
- Updated: January 29, 2015
While many people were at work, the Providence College Friars were busy this afternoon. Due to the snow storm that hit nearly all of the east coast, PC was forced to play a 2 PM game against DePaul earlier today. PC came away with an 83-72 victory over the Blue Demons and with the win, the Friars are now in sole possession of first place in the Big East.
Getting the win was important but the biggest story to come out of today’s contest was Kris Dunn. Recording a career high 27 points, Dunn filled up the stat sheet and put together the first Providence triple-double since 2006. Dunn’s final stat line finished at 27 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals and 1 block.
Four other players finished in double-figures for PC, including a career high 11 out of freshman Kyron Cartwright.
Next up for PC will be St. John’s on the road at Madison Square Garden, noon tip-off on Saturday.
We will have more on Kris Dunn’s performance tonight.

We will be lucky if Dunn sticks around 1 more year. If they have a good run in the NCAA’s and he is one of the main reasons say hello to the NBA draft. He has got to be one of the top point guards in the country. The best is yet to come. I was there yesterday and he just controlled the game.
