DePaul Game Postponed

Here is the official release from Providence College:

PROVIDENCE, R.I. —

The Providence College men’s basketball game versus DePaul, which was scheduled for Tuesday, January 27 at 9:00 p.m. at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, has been postponed due to a severe winter storm.  The game has TENTATIVELY been RESCHEDULED for Thursday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence.  The game will be televised live on Fox Sports 1.

The Dunkin’ Donuts Center has a Fleetwood Mac concert scheduled for Wednesday, January 28.  If the Fleetwood Mac concert is cancelled on Wednesday, that concert will then take place on Thursday, January 29 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.  In the event of the concert moving to Thursday, the Providence vs. DePaul game will then be played at Alumni Hall on the Providence College campus at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday on Fox Sports 1.

The playing of the game on Thursday also is contingent on DePaul being able to fly into Rhode Island on Wednesday.  If DePaul is not able to travel to Rhode Island on Wednesday, the game will be played at a later date.

Providence College and the BIG EAST will make every attempt to keep fans informed about the status and location of the game.  An announcement will be made on Wednesday with information about Thursday’s game.  Fans are asked to check Friars.com for information about Thursday’s game.
