Adams, Falzon Catch Fire in AAU Play

Falzon

News and notes from a busy AAU weekend…

Hampton, VA hosted the third week of Nike’s EYBL season and Massachusetts native Aaron Falzon was one of the most explosive scorers of the weekend.

The 6’8 class of 2015 recruit out of Northfield Mount Hermon lit up The Family, scoring 31 points on 7-14 shooting. He also had 24 against Howard Pulley (3-7 from 3) and 15 more versus Northwest Xpress. Falzon connected on 14-27 three pointers over the weekend. His 31 points were the 10th highest total of anyone playing at the EYBL this year.

Putting these numbers in perspective, only five players in the entire circuit are averaging 20+ points per game through the first three sessions. Falzon is currently in the top 20 in scoring (17.1 ppg) and has made 40% of his 3 point attempts in EYBL play…

It was a relatively quiet weekend for Providence commit Ryan Fazekas, but he did get to the free throw line for 10 attempts against Texas Elite. Otherwise, he averaged around a bucket a game…

2016 BABC guard Bruce Brown continues to break out this spring. His biggest performance from the last weekend came when he scored 26 of BABC’s 58 points against Mean Streets…

Jeremy Miller recently de-committed from BC and received praise for showing more assertiveness. The 6’9 Miller is far more comfortable on the perimeter than the interior and could see his stock rise by showing more of a willingness to mix it up inside. His best game of the weekend was a 15 point, 4 rebound effort versus CIA Bounce…

CIA Bounce features Providence recruit Montaque Gill-Caesar who was very effective in Hampton, scoring 20 and 16 points in two of their games…

Gill-Caesar’s teammate at Huntington Prep, Miles Bridges, was also among the most productive players of this session. He scored 18 versus Expressions and had one of the biggest games of the weekend with 17/15 against Team Scan…

This weekend in Indianapolis also included the Adidas Gauntlet in Indianapolis, where Jalen Adams continued his amazing summer. The Mass Rivals guard is making a push toward being a top 25 guard and further made his case by averaging 32 points and nearly 9 rebounds in a dominant weekend. His final game may have been his best — a 32 point, 14 rebound effort.

Lastly, here’s an interview of PC recruit Braxton Blackwell from over the weekend.
