National Prep School Inv. Starts Thurs.
- Updated: January 29, 2014
The annual National Prep School Invitational starts this Wednesday at the Roberts Center on the Rhode Island College campus. The tournament will run through Sunday and will once again have numerous Providence College recruits and players of interest participating.
Perhaps the highlight game for Friar fans takes place on Sunday at 12:00 when Brewster Academy takes on Vermont Academy. There will be at least seven potential PC recruits participating in this game, including two of the Friars primary targets (2015 combo guard Donovan Mitchell and 2014 point guard Devonte Graham, both of Brewster).
Once again Coxsportsonline will be streaming several games live. You can find their streaming schedule here.

The National Prep School Invitational always has an international flair and this year is no exception as international teams from Spain (Canarias Basketball Academy), Canada (Alma Academy and Bill Crothers School) and the Czech Republic (GB Academy) will be participating. These international teams always have some unsigned 2014 players that programs are keeping a keen eye on.
Some of the other top stars participating in this year’s tournament include Goodluck Okonoboh (Wilbraham and Monson, committed to UNLV), Kaleb Joseph (Cushing Academy, committed to Syracuse), Isaac Copeland (Brewster Academy, committed to Georgetown), Jonah Bolden (Brewster Academy, committed to UCLA), Marial Shayok (Blair Academy, committed to Marquette), Tyler Lydon of New Hampton Prep (committed to Syracuse), Bonzie Colson of St. Andrew’s (committed to Notre Dame), Henry Bolton of St. Andrew’s (committed to Utah State) and Terrance Mann of the Tilton School.
