Where’s Nova Headline on ESPN?
- Updated: November 30, 2013
Every time Andrew Wiggins has tied his shoes this season ESPN has featured it on SportsCenter. Yet, tonight when Villanova defeated #2 Kansas (holding Wiggins to 10 points on a night in which he had four turnovers) readers of ESPN.com had to dig if they wanted to read about this one.
Half an hour after the game, the upset apparently wasn’t worthy of a headline on the site’s front page (the Packers needing to win out per their coach, the Thunder’s OT win over Golden State, Bo Pelini daring Nebraska to fire him, and controversial moves by Jason Kidd and Mike Tomlin remain headline stories), nor was it even part of the college basketball page’s headline stories.
CBS Sports had Villanova’s win as the top sports story at the time of this post.
Interesting.
