Dear BIG EAST Supporters:

We are excited to report that #The1isHere!

At 6 AM this morning, FOX Sports 1 – the official home of the BIG EAST Conference – launched in approximately 90 million homes throughout the United States. FOX Sports 1 is the nation’s newest and most innovative 24-hour multi-sport channel, and this represents the largest sports network launch in history.

FOX has come a long way since March of this year, when we gathered in FOX’s studios in New York City to announce an unprecedented multi-media partnership between the network and the BIG EAST conference. The alliance between FOX Sports and the BIG EAST was a natural, given our shared passion for college basketball and our mutual desire to produce live sports programming that provides high-quality entertainment and puts the fans first.

From the first practices through the regular season and culminating with the nation’s most compelling conference basketball tournament, held each March in Madison Square Garden, FOX Sports 1 will showcase the high level of competition and the intense rivalries that have long defined BIG EAST basketball. Led by the legendary announcing team of Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery, who has been calling BIG EAST games for over thirty years, FOX Sports 1 is slated to televise more than 100 BIG EAST men’s regular season games this coming season, beginning with non-conference play on Friday, November 8.

Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about the full television schedule for the BIG EAST on FOX Sports 1, which includes a previously announced, five-game New Year’s Eve marathon, and a SUPER SATURDAY HOOPS doubleheader on Saturday, February 1, featuring Marquette vs. St. John’s and Michigan State vs. Georgetown, live from Madison Square Garden on the eve of Super Bowl XLVIII. In the meantime, be sure to check out FOX Sports 1, which will air nearly 5,000 hours of live sports, news and original programming annually. For many TV providers, FOX Sports 1 can be found on the same channel that had been occupied by SPEED. To locate the specific channel information for your TV provider, go to www.FOXSports.com/. If your cable system does not currently offer FOX

Sports 1, we encourage you to call and let them know you want it included in your basic package.

The BIG EAST and FOX Sports 1 are the ones for fun. Thanks for your support!

Sincerely,

Val Ackerman
