Prior to last night’s game against Charlotte, Providence College President, Rev. Brian Shanley and Providence College Athletic Director, Bob Driscoll, held a press conference to discuss the historic day that the ‘new’ Big East had. Wednesday morning, the Presidents of the ‘new’ Big East schools gathered in New York City to announce the formation of the 10 team conference (Adding Butler, Creighton and Xavier), as well as a vitally important $500 million television deal with Fox Sports and the rights to hold their post season tournament at Madison Square Garden.

FriarBasketball.com caught up with Shanely after the conclusion of the press conference to hear additional thoughts from the school’s President.

Ich finde das schön: Man kann sich immer wieder neue Gedanken dazu machen und das Rätsel bleibt doch unlösbar. So wie das Leben selbst …

Yeah, spring is like that. We don’t get that much in the way of tornadoes (we do get a few), but spring storms are the norm. “Spend the day in your basement” is a bit excessive for anything short of a super outbreak. Edit: which 50+ 80+ tornadoes has to be getting into pretty serious territory, if not as impressive (scary) as 130+

My biggest pet peeve while running is the cars that pull out into the cross walk without first looking to see that I am about to cross. It really messes with my mental focus when I nearly get run over by a car.
